Free printable food chain worksheet

A blank food chain to fill in: start with a safe food and plan four small steps toward a new food, changing one thing at a time, with boxes to track each try.

How to use it

  1. Write a safe food in the first box, the way your child likes it best.
  2. For each step, change only one thing: brand, shape, texture, flavor, color or temperature.
  3. Mark a box every time a step is offered. Move on when it feels easy, not before.
  4. Stuck for ideas? See our food chain examples for common safe foods.
